Ossi Initiative - March '25
On 23rd March 2025, which also happened to be my sister Sunita Dhingra’s b’day, we planned a food drive. We were waiting for daughter Khushi’s exams to get over, so that we all can go together. Anchal bought the food items and my father and Khushi, made some 30 packets of food items (fruits, chips and Choco pie). Went to migrant communities and distributed the food packets to children and elderly.
We will continue to do more, while also deeply reflecting on discovering that one area that Ossi would like to focus on and make an impact.
Have had several conversations with leaders of various NGOs that we currently partner with and hoping to find that one space soon!
Ossi Inititives - May '25
Saanvi is the daughter of our family driver Sundaresh. He is with us for almost 18 years and a great support. While his son could get admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya, for Saanvi, we could get a seat, though made all possible efforts. So, she studies at a private school, and we make provide a small contribution at the beginning of the academic year. So, the contribution in May ’25 represents that.
She is a bright and empathetic child and has a great life ahead of her!

Ossi Inititives - June '25
Ran a food drive for migrant community at Kaikondahalli. Some 10 young families with children including several toddlers live there. They all enthusiastically received the food items and seem to have liked the food items.
Ossi Initiative - July '25
Earth Saviours continues to expand its footprint and support larger pool of elderly homeless. This particular contribution from Ossi was for the medicines for their set up in Gurgaon.
Ossi Initiative - Aug '25
Though education is one of the long-term focus areas for Ossi, we haven’t been able to do as much in this space as we would have liked to. Nevertheless, creativity is a critical part of education and often ignored. We thought of a small effort to encourage kids in the nearby underprivileged labour community, to unleash their creativity, by gifting Coloring books and Colors to some 30 kids. It seemed they were both surprised and pleased with this unexpected gift. Teenage girls to toddlers, all were happy.
We are hoping to build more substantive and sustainable program around it.

Ossi Inititives - Nov '25
Mattress to the Security Guard
One of our neighbours Prajwal Pandey at Purva Whitehall came to know of Ossi foundation and reached out for donating a mattress. Coincidently, he lives in the same building as we do. Ossi was in touch with a security guard Kanha, who needed a mattress. We coordinated the handover. Delighted that Ossi could act as a bridge.
School fee for a Swiggy Delivery boy
Trustee Anchal came to know of a Swiggy delivery man who carries his daughter along with him and teaching her during his breaks. We didn’t have all the background but Anchal’s friend at apartment complex Sobha Carnation also talked about this man.
So, we decided to make a small financial contribution and transferred 5K as a small contribution. Many in our community did it. So, collectively, it was a decent contribution.
